Dan and Heather Goetz began making maple syrup with family and friends 15 years ago. Back then they used 100 pails to produce roughly 25 gallons of pure maple syrup.
Today their operation has expanded to roughly 14000 taps on vacuum tubing systems that cover 6 local woodlots. With the use of modern processing equipment, Shady Grove Maple can process up to 1500 gallons of maple sap per hour.
We are a part of the food safety and traceability program launched by the provincial government.
